Toys-R-Us. A magical escapade of happiness for all children that enter the store. It is a place where dreams come true, love is found and deep connections are made. However, form this year on, those dreams are broken, as Toys-R-Us are closing down for good.

The BBC have confirmed that with 885 stores left without a buyer, Toys-R-Us have no other option but to close down and to disrupt 30,000 jobs. With a 4.1% of unemployment since December 2017(according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, Eurostat), with the store closing down, this will increase leaving a more drastic gap for the economy of the US.

However after filing for bankruptcy in September last year, it was no surprise that the chain of Toys-R-Us were coming to an end. But, is the bankruptcy are fault? With so many children now staying in doors, zombified with technology, how could toy stores actually survive?

There have been many opinions about the news some sad, some happy. These are some tweets, that I found interesting:

What will replace this kingdom? Where will children find a new place to get toys? Who will save millions of dreams and jobs of the unemployed?
